High Voltage was designed and constructed in 1999-2000. It competed in the Pentrad Nationals at Cal State Dominguez Hills Velodrome in June 2000. The vehicle also competed in the 1999 National Electrathon (Olympic Velodrome), traveling 37.5 miles in one hour.
High Voltage was designed with a plexiglass canopy shield exterior through a layup process, along with a fiberglass foam core interior. It ultimately measured 118 x 36 x 29 inches with a weight of 400 pounds.
