Spectre is one of our pre-existing Blue Sky Kit vehicles. It consists of a 24-volt battery system powering a Scott DC motor with handlebar bike brakes, a horn, and chain and sprocket drivetrain system. In 2022, we decided to bring it back under a new name to compete in the 2023 Energy Invitational.
Spectre is a Blue Sky Kit vehicle built with a 3-wheel design. It consists of an aerodynamic teardrop-shaped body with a frame made from 1-inch steel tubing. It is powered by a Scott DC motor connected to two 12-volt batteries contained in fiberglass battery boxes. Spectre is steered through a set of handlebars and has a horn, hydraulic bike brakes, a five-point harness, and a roll bar for safety.
In 2023, Spectre competed in the Energy Invitational after having been brought back by the program under a new name.
